There is a plethora of activities for one to do at Ayun Fort itself. Situated on a plateau overlooking the rest of the lush green village, Ayun Fort offers a kind of homeliness and freedom to explore that you are unlikely to find at any other hotel in Chitral. Visit the orchards laden with all kinds of fruits like grapes, pomegranates, apples, peaches, apricots, figs, plums, cherries, & mulberries , don’t miss the excellent varieties of pears & grapes matched only in central Asia. The Chitrali is an expert at grafting and nearly all the better types of fruit trees are grafts. Visit the nearby the fish pond which is full of Chinese carp or better yet go down to the clear Ayun stream which  is fed from Glaciers of the Bumboret and Rumburs valleys and has an abundance of Trout. Ayun Fort is powered by its own Hydel Power Plant and the water channels used to power this plant consist of numerous waterfalls and  provide scenic route for hikes and family walks.
